I'm celebrating 22 years working with glass which includes 13 years of teaching kiln formed vessels across the world. Some regions are returning to in-person classes again but most of my teaching is now online either with a live host or as a stand alone product.

Monthly Classes
Dive into the fascinating world of glass slumping, schedules, and the art of achieving breathtaking vessels with both Amanda Simmons and Bob Leatherbarrow! This masterclass promises an in-depth exploration of the intricate process, demystifying every step and unveiling the secrets behind the magic of glass transformation.
In this three-session course, students will learn how to create textures and engraved surfaces on slumped forms. Amanda Simmons will demonstrate the techniques and process needed to create your fused glass blanks, followed by the types of marks you can use, which will be enhanced in the slumping process.

Build a body of work inspired by aspects of nature that combine the delicate, transient, and resilient. Artist Amanda Simmons will lead the way in this month-long, multi-session investigation that will help you create several different vessels with unique patterns and surprising depth.

Tall Vessels with Amanda Simmons, Online Class, August 9 and 30, 2025
This live online class with artist Amanda Simmons will guide you through how she makes her elegant tall vessels.
